An Email Marketer is a professional who writes engaging copies that can be utilized in email marketing campaigns and programmers. He or she is responsible for developing email campaign strategy and tactics concerning the size of the agency or company. An Email Marketer drafts persuasive messages that are delivered through emails. Numerous companies post hirings for an Email Marketer role with different job titles such as Email Marketing Manager, Digital Content Writer (Email), and Lead Email Content Marketer.

Email marketing Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Recommend and implement email best practices and identify opportunities for A/B testing
  • Partner with our creative agency to ensure email best practices and brand consistency is met
  • Manifest incoming and outgoing tickets
  • Set up emails in client manager, including uploading of graphics, tracking URLs, assistance with data loading and updating of data such as unsubscribes
  • Work closely with marketing and sales teams to determine their needs
  • Own the commercial relationship with the Email Service Provider, such as Exact Target, and maintain reporting on platform usage vs contracted levels
  • Work with clients to identify consumer intelligence needs
  • Serve as a CRM (email marketing) champion throughout Warner Bros
  • Drive business requirements, help secure funding and work with internal/external teams to oversee the implementation of evolving CRM infrastructure and tools needed to achieve Global CRM vision
  • Keep up to speed on the competitive marketplace, follow trends in CRM / Email marketing and relevant supporting marketing channels.
Email marketing Skills and Qualifications:  
  • 2-5 years hands on experience in email marketing role
  • Hands on experience with enterprise email marketing platforms Responsys, ExactTarget, CheetahMail
  • Minimum 2-3 years of eCommerce or direct to consumer experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree required with Major/Minor in Marketing, Business or related field, preferred
  • Must have 7-10 years in relevant email marketing, CRM or Direct Marketing positions
  • In-depth working knowledge of industry-leading email marketing tools, analytics and business intelligence providers
